10 Easy Ways To Make Money Online For Beginners

By EmmaParker on July 6, 2021April 27, 2022

Are you interested in making money online but don’t know where to begin?

Many people like the idea. They are sold on the ‘free-style’ life- being able to work when and where they wish. But how realistic is it?

Below I talk about some of the most popular ways to make money online. It’s not easy though, and there’s no way to earn fast cash overnight.

  1. Fill out Online Surveys for Cash

While not the most exciting way to earn, you can fill out surveys online from websites. Most online survey sites can earn you $50-$100 per month, and when you combine multiple sites together, you can earn several hundred dollars a month. Check out sites like Survey Junkie or Swagbucks.

2. Freelance writing

This is a good option as there is always a demand for content. There are many different types of writing. You can earn between anywhere between $5 to $500 per article (or even up to $1000, if you write for a top blog).

Copywriting involves writing marketing content or advertisements for others. If you’re savvy with wording and can write compelling content, you could work from home as a copywriter. A talented copywriter can make over $100 per hour.

3. Writing an eBook

Writing an eBook can be a profitable way to make money online, and a form of passive income. You can self-publish an eBook on Amazon or sell directly through your own website. The beauty with ebooks is that they can be on any topic you like!

There are generally very few extra costs when writing an ebook so they are a great way to make some cash on the side.

4. Digital Products

Digital products can be an amazing way to make money online as a beginner. One popular digital product is printables. Printables are popular on blogs and on Etsy. Printables can be anything from calendars, budgets, planners, to-do lists, and a lot more. Other digital products include meal planners, wedding planners, fitness trackers, calorie trackers, and similar.

With digital products, you can sell an unlimited number of copies of something you create one time. For example, if you were to create financial tracking planner that included a budget, debt payoff sheet, savings goal sheet, and other money-tracking printables, you might sell it for $20-if you sold 1 planner per day, you would earn around $600 per month.

5. Creating A Blog

Do you have a passion or talent? Why not start a blog?

Blogs can be about anything.

  • Diet
  • Parenting
  • Homeschooling
  • Web Design
  • Tech
  • Politics
  • Making money online
  • DIY Crafts
  • Entertainment
  • Fashion

There are no limits to how much money you can make by blogging. This is not an overnight earner it will take time to build a following. However, with enough high-quality content created, you can make $100 per day passively through ads, affiliate marketing, products, and more.

Alternatively, you could become an online business or blog coach and mentor your clients to help them grow their business. As a blogging coach or a general business coach, you may create a program that teaches your client about how to write good content, how to use common technologies, how to run day-to-day operations, how to outsource when there’s too much to do. You may also provide information with how to create email marketing campaigns and how to sell to your client’s audience.

6. Teach Online Via Courses

Teaching online courses is an amazing way to make money. By providing something of great value, you’ll be able to sell your knowledge to those interested in your subject.

People make millions of dollars of passive income selling courses on sites like Udemy, Skillshare, Teachable

7. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is when you are paid by a third party vendor for directing sign-ups, traffic, or sales to them. For example, if you are affiliated with someone who is selling a course, you would likely get a portion of the sale price for each sale you refer to the course owner.

Advertisers compensate you for talking about their products and sending potential customers their way. You can do this with or without a blog, though it is easier to do with a blog.

To get started, you can sign up for one or more affiliate programs.

In an affiliate network, you can search for providers to promote. It’s a good idea to promote only a few companies at a time. This way, you’re building up trust with your audience as you continue to promote the same companies.

You can promote on a blog, on Pinterest, on YouTube, or through paid advertising on places such as Facebook and Google

8. Editing & Proofreading

Do you enjoy reading? Well, how about reading other people’s work, proofreading and editing it, and earning $20-$40 an hour in the process?

Websites like Fiverr offer editing and proofreading opportunities. I would suggest you sign up for Grammarly which checks spelling and grammar and provides suggestions to your writing style. There’s both a free version and a paid version; the paid version having enhanced features that I personally love.

When you first start out, you may wish to charge less so that you can build up a client base. Once you have regular customers, it’s certainly possible to earn $100 per day doing proofreading, which adds up to over $3000 per month earned online.

9. Write a review

Most reviews on the internet are sponsored. People are being paid to write them- this does not mean they are fake. It just means that the writer has been paid to try the product then write a review. Writing a review and putting in affiliate links is a way that you could begin to monetise your content.

10. Sell stuff online

E-Commerce is huge. People sell second hand stuff on sites like Amazon, Etzy, Ebay and other sites. You don’t have to sell your second hand items you could use your crafting skills to make items or start a print-on-demand business. Whether you sell printables or resell items such as collectibles that you find at local garage sales/car boot sales (for example).

It can take time to get started. However, there’s a whole niche out there for buying and selling online. It’s often not hard to earn quick cash by shopping at garage sales and thrift stores and then reselling what you buy online through an online store.
